27 Weeks: Ballet and Baseball

Week 27: Rookie has had a week of diverse experiences. First, my mom and I went to the SF Ballet, and Rookie was kicking up a storm. I shouldn't have been surprised, since s/he loves all of the musical performances and plays that we've had at school.
The following Tuesday, Ted and I decided to take a day for ourselves and go to Opening Day for the Giants. With forecasts for thunderstorms and my relentless cold, we weren't sure we would make it, but we ventured out to see the Giants start the season with a 10-6 win over the Brewers. Once again, Rookie kicked away. We can't wait to take him/her to a game later this season!
This week reminded me of my own childhood, when my mom would scoop me up from ballet class, help me frantically change, and drop me off at baseball or soccer practice. I hope Rookie's interests are just as diverse. It's fun to think about what s/he will be interested in and all of the things that his/her life has to hold!
